House Hunt Diary is a local-first house-hunting diary. Most property data you save — listings, notes, photos, visit records, checklist answers, and route plans — stays on your device. Some optional features send limited data to our backend so the feature can work.
The app may store property titles, addresses, prices, room/bath/area details, listing links, notes, photos, route/viewing information, checklist items, feedback messages, and related metadata you enter, import, or choose to save.
This information is primarily stored locally on your device. House Hunt Diary does not require an account for the current app version.
The app may request only the permissions needed for house-hunting workflows:
External map apps and listing websites have their own privacy practices when you open or use them.
When you use Magic Import, listing import, or the in-app browser Save flow, the app may send the listing URL and a limited snapshot of the publicly visible listing page to House Hunt Diary backend services. This may include page text, title/headings, metadata, structured listing data, and rendered image URLs needed to extract property details.
The backend may use third-party AI infrastructure, including OpenAI, to turn listing-page content into structured property information. AI extraction can be imperfect; you are responsible for reviewing imported details before relying on them.
Protected import routes may use Apple App Attest or similar device-integrity checks to reduce abuse, plus rate limits, quota checks, and spend controls.
House Hunt Diary Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. The app uses RevenueCat and backend entitlement checks to understand whether a device/install currently has Pro access, to restore purchases, and to apply subscription-related quotas.
We may use an app-generated install/support identifier for subscription support, entitlement verification, anti-abuse controls, and customer-support routing. This is not an advertising identifier.
If you share a property, route, list, or related app content, the selected content may be uploaded so a share link can be created and viewed by the recipient. Shared content may include property text fields and selected images, depending on the feature you use.
If you send feedback or support messages, we may receive your message plus technical context such as app version, build number, device model, OS version, install/support identifier, and relevant diagnostic status. We use this to answer you and debug the issue.
We may collect privacy-conscious analytics and diagnostics to understand whether onboarding, import, paywall, subscription, sharing, support, and app reliability flows work. We try to avoid collecting raw property content unless it is required for the feature you chose, such as Magic Import or sharing.
The public website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand website traffic and App Store link clicks. The app is not designed for advertising tracking.
Depending on the feature, data may be processed by infrastructure providers such as Vercel, Supabase, RevenueCat, Apple, OpenAI, and storage/database providers used to operate House Hunt Diary. We do not sell your personal data.
You can delete local app data by deleting items in the app or removing the app from your device. Shared links, support messages, or backend records may require a support request to remove from server systems.

House Hunt Diary is not intended for children and does not knowingly collect children’s personal information.
We may update this policy as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page and, where appropriate, in an app update.
